Ratatype's course on the English QWERTY layout comprises 15 lessons that focus on teaching users how to learn and memorize the keys of the world's most widely used keyboard layout. Let's look at each of them.
1. Home Row Position
9 exercises
The first four lessons are dedicated to learning the location of letters on the keyboard. By the end of these lessons, students will know where to find any letter on the keyboard.
The home row keys are a set of keys in the middle row of the keyboard that include the letters A, S, D, F, J, K, L, and ;. By placing fingers on these keys, students can maintain a comfortable and efficient typing position and easily reach other keys without looking down at the keyboard.
This lesson will help you remember where the keys of the home row position are located. Exercises consist of repeating learning keys and short words which contain relevant keys.

13. Using the Shift Key

It is important to practice using the Shift key when learning to type so that you can develop good typing habits and improve your overall typing speed and accuracy. All the exercises in this lesson focus on typesetting from upper and lower case letters.
